There are truly rare drinks, such as Ward Eight, which is still mixed as they were originally intended.  Then there are drinks such as Cuba Libre or the Martini, which are considered classics despite a few recipe changes along the way.

Drinks such as Margaritas and Daiquiri are example of classic cocktail often made from recipes so bastardized that the resulting concoctions are no longer classic.  Modern day classics, such as Jasmine and Mauri, are drinks created after 1940 that uphold the traditions of great cocktails.

MINT JULIET MARTINI
2 parts of orange liqueur
2 parts of Kentucky bourbon
1/4 oz Vanilla Vodka
1/4 oz Peppermint Schnapps
Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with mint springs and/or an orange twist

OOH-LA-LA
1 oz Vodka
1 oz cherry mix \ 1 oz pina colada mix \
2/3 lemonade mix \\ 1/3 coke
ice (shake) \ rocks

BAHAMA MAMA
2 oz Coconut Rum
1 oz cherry mix \ 1/2 orange juice \ 
1/2 pineapple juice
ice \ rocks or blended 


YABBA DABBA DOO
1 oz Rum \ 1 oz Strawberry Schnapps
1 oz wildberry mix \ 1/2 sweet sour mix \\ 1/2 orange juice
ice (shake) \ rocks

LA BAMBA
1 oz Vodka \ 1 oz Hazelnut Liqueur
fill orange juice
ice \ rocks

KAHLUA MUD SLIDE  
1 oz Kahlua \ 1 oz Creme de Cacao (Dark)
fill cream \ 2 oreo cookies \ 2 scoops ice cream or mix
ice \ blended \ frozen


ZOMBIE
1 oz Rum \ 1 oz Apricot Schnapps
1 oz cherry mix \ 1/2 orange juice \ 1/2 pineapple juice
ice \ rocks

AMARETTO PUSSYCAT
1 oz Vodka \ 1 oz Amaretto
1 oz cherry mix \ fill pineapple juice
ice \ rocks \ (for flavors leave out cherry mix)
